The Kyle Shaw Adventure is an action/adventure flash video game parodies the Mega Man Series made by Capcom. Although incomplete at the moment, we hope to bring you a full enjoyable game that will remind gamers just how rediculous these old games can be. This game may feel familiar to the classic gamers, as it is heavily influenced by the Mega Man games. The music has a very classic video game feel and the graphic style is also remniscent of the old NES graphics.

So I did some googling and found a french review of the game. I figured I'd put it on here because I thought it was intersting. Here is the original. I put it through the freetranslation thing.

"Parody series Mega Man that the amateurs will recognize to the first blow of eye, the Kyle Shaw Adventure is a shooting game that put big on the call of the nostalgic style.

This is in an apocalyptic context that Kyle rises in hero against the robots that invade the city. All the movements carry out themselves using the signposted keys (or WASD) and the shooting of the futuristic gun with the bar of spacing out.

Several details of programming recall knowingly the original one: robots that not some finish more to appear if one goes back over its steps to the personage that explodes in a multicolored firework, almost nothing was neglected. The question that puts itself as in several remakes of the kind does not lack to point itself the nose end here also: in this case, why to prefer the drift to the inspiration source?

Unfortunately, this question remains without response."

Everthing I said I was gonna do, I did, plus more minus finishing the intro. Deal with it.

Just so you don't think I died, here is what I have been working on. It isn't ready to be put in the game yet.

A big performance fix was made with event listeners not being removed. The game probably won't get more sluggish over time once it is updated.

I am moving towards the idea of using an NES palette for the game and not going beyond the 55 some odd colors. It is a complete pain to find the most accurate palette, but I think I am going to roll with this one. A guy named AspiringSquire made it. Apparently it is called RealityC.pal if anyone wants it I'll throw it in a download section later.

That being said, the intro pictures will be using this palette. And there will be many color changes It will look something like this:

Here is what the change will look like:

I have also been playing around with "Tweens" as a opposed to the standard x an y position changing. We'll see how that pans out... literally.

Expect an update in a few days or so.
